The smell of jet fuel, molten metal, and overworked scrubbers is replaced by a faint aroma of woodsmoke and grease. The sign above the entrance is not particularly eye-catching, but it doesn't need to be as the only game in town. Hard-bitten engineers and machinists can always be found in this place, rubbing shoulders alongside freighter captains from all walks of life. The sustenance ranges from shapeless Synth patties to the fully organic tuneer imported directly from the shores of Curacao, but few come to Rickett's for the food.
Freeport 14, an unlikely meeting.

The miners of the Independent Mining Guild coupled with the persistent hatred of the Colonial Remenent were a thorn in the side of Maltese society for as long as Chenzo could remember.

The might of Outcast forces always pushed aside any issue these two groups brought. Times had changed, the Colonial coordination with non Granja Justa based slaves had resulted in Maltese society falling into darkness. A fate the 101st would never have let happen.

Military supremacy weakened. Scalable assets of stations & claimable raw assets reduced. Things did indeed look as if over two decades progress had been lost overnight, or rather over a three year revolt.

Vin Chenzo wouldn’t simply stand by and let things happen whilst there was air in his lungs. Every option would be explored, for better or worse.

Off the back of the victory in Theta against the Corsairs, a Sirius wide message hit newsfeeds like a shockwave. The Outcasts were still more than a force to recon with. Few knew of the Core’s assistance & even less cared for the knowledge of Zoners being present. Outcasts had always been feared by the general public. The assault which just crippled the Corsairs was one everyone knew about.

Shortly after the Maltese-Alliance victory, Chenzo found himself comforting the leader of the Core in Omicron Delta. They were after all, powerful enemy’s. A betrayal at this stage could spell disaster for either side. Reassuring Daniels was as much a priority as calming himself.

A true Outcast is loyal to their word. A true Outcast would sooner die a gruesome death than break their word. This was a concept that Daniels of the Core was only just learning. A force of mutual respect glistened from this. Their co-operation made possible the events which had just unfolded in Theta. Together, a mutually benifical outcome had been reached, for now at least.

Just before he left the freeport, a wild idea struck him. He blindly sent communications to the leader of the IMG. He hadn’t quite formulated a plan just yet, but to his surprise via a brief exchange, a meeting was set.

The Inverness system, one Chenzo knew to be ‘the stomping ground’ of the Junkers Congress. Over a decade prior, victories over two Maltese captains somehow gone rogue in Zoner warships were silenced by Congress & Maltese allies from Liberty. Oh how different the scene was today. The Congress presence less than a shadow, Technocrats everywhere & the IMG clearly felt safe here as the Freeport is where he’d suggested they meet.

It had been a few days since the time & place had been set. Chenzo arrived without issue, landed on the Freeport & had the dock master seal the bay as per customary of his payment & request. The dock master took no hesitation letting Chenzo know that the presence of an Outcast might not go down well & requested he at least start no hostilities. The dockmaster was assured that no such drama was to unfold, a private room to be organised. A certain gift from his recent meeting with Ling of the hackers would ensure the meetings conversation was kept private.

There is currently no bartender and the bar has an automated system to check the drinks the crew takes out of the fridge. Each Irregular, crew, captain or management, has a weekly ration of beverages, soft or alcoholic, they can take. If they want more, they can have it, but anything over the quota has to be paid for in full.
The station's commander, Samuel Bennett is aware of the lack of the station's R&R options and is actively looking into ways to improve the situation together with Coordinator Lachlan, though some among the crew have been heard he's not working on it fast enough.

Chenzo was a simple man in values, loyal to a fault. Few knew of his movements or intensions until they were made obvious, the few that knew thought him to be mad.

Maltese society was far from what he'd left behind. Trust, honour and respect were commodities worn thin even between Maltese brethren.

Times of the Ghosts of Razgriz, the real ones held these values at the forefront of everything. To betray anyone trusted was simply not an option, no matter what may seem greener on the other side. The Lane Hackers, Liberty Rogues and Golden Chrysanthemum's were front tier allies. He trusted them as much as anyone under the Outcast transponder, sometimes more.

The very actions of Cesari no matter how small in the grand scheme were of paramount importance to Chenzo's return from the void. He was to return the favour by any means necessary. A true Outcast doesn't break their word.

Since the initial deals with Cesari of The Lane Hackers, time had passed. Enough time that Comercio Fantasma was in it's final stage of construction. A curious but trustworthy contact was to make an appearance in Alpha, Floor 69 had been set aside purely for the Hackers from day one, yet it was the least developed floor on the station. If The Lane Hackers had any interest or use of it, it was theirs to fit out even beyond Chenzo's eyes and ears.

A transmission from a "Mr Ling" got the loyal Outcast into action. Behind blast proof doors on floor 69, he brought refreshments and ensured everything a guest would need was present.

Axiom Temple Chamber - Aboard the Axiom (Open RP)

As you dock with the Axiom's rear hangar, you are greeted by men and women wearing religious robing. They gently guide you to the forward section of the hangar where a rather large door opens to reveal a long passageway. The passage is decorated inside to look like a passage you would see in a Temple leading from a Temple's main gate to its inner sanctum.

"Come this way, dear pilgrims. The High Priestess is waiting on the other side of the door at the end of the passage." says one of the robed faithful.

You and and the group of pilgrims walk at a steady pace, taking in the decorations that are out of place considering you are inside a ship. Eventually after 10 minutes of walking, you reach the end of the passage. There another set of doors open up, to reveal a brightly lit chamber behind them.

You step into the Temple. The inner walls are decorated to look like a vast sky, giving the Temple the illusion of floating. You briefly forget that you are inside a ship as the way the Temple Chambers were constructed to realistically give you the impression that you have just entered a floating sky temple. Your amazement however is interrupted at the sound of a woman singing what sounded like a lullaby. The lyrics were indecipherable but it reverberated within you. It was a gentle melody, which naturally drew your gaze to the centre of the Chamber. There in front of a large statue, was a single woman, dressed different from the rest of the faithful. Her robe had a white hood that draped over the the back of her black dress. The back of her dress was shaped to look like a pair of butterfly wings.

You and the rest of the pilgrims immediately knew who she was. It was the venerated High Priestess that you heard about when you first landed on the Axiom. The group pauses their walk, with all eyes on the High Priestess and she sings. After a couple of minutes she reaches the climax of her song and then finishes. Her eyes open and her gaze shifts towards the group of pilgrims.

In a gentle but almost ethereal voice she addresses the group.

"Welcome to the Axiom's Temple of the Light. My hope is that you will find your stay here welcoming, enlightening and that you may find salvation. Please don't feel the need to stand on ceremony. We are all followers of the Light. My role is simply to sing their Songs."

After she spoke, you could feel the people around you become more relaxed. But before anyone could move, she spoke again.

"Please wait for a moment, I will ask one of the Maidens to give you a brief overview of the Temple of the Light and as well as the Axiom. There is a matter that requires my urgent attention, so I must leave you temporarily. But I will return once I am done to tell you what the Songs of the Light are, and how members of the Faith are expected to conduct themselves. For now, please relax, feel free to explore the temple, and listen to the Maiden who'll be giving you a tour of the Temple and its Facilities."

She bows before the group, turns around and walks towards a door where a plaque above it was marked "INNER SANCTUM".

Your attention is once again grabbed when you hear the voice of a young woman talk to the group.

"Greetings fellow Pilgrims. I am the Maiden assigned to give you a tour of the ship, the temple and its facilities."

She bowed before the group before turning around and, beckoning to the group to follow her, walks towards a passage marked "RESIDENTIAL AREA".
"Vincent Abrams and the Xeno Ambassador have arrived. Ground crews are preparing to check them in upon arrival." Lucien breathed in relief, finally a step in the right direction. The past month had left him more and more empty with each day. Between the end of the world, and family drama - he was hitting his breaking point. "Gracias flight control, notify when clear to proceed." He said.

"We have a slip cleared for you in hangar bay 4, Captian." They replied after a brief pause.

Lucien wasted no time, and rushed over to meet Vincent and Locke in the hangar just above them. The room snapped to attention as the Captain's appearance became apparent to everyone on the floor. "Si, si, as you were." He said aloud rushing over to meet the two. Locke looked like he was about to become a security hazard, Vincent just looked paranoid. Both of them shuddering in their flight suits. As Lucien broke the silence, both of their heads turned to face him.

"Welcome to Akabat, I'll make accommodations for you both. You will both be free to move about as you see fit so long as you don't leave permanently until we're all on the same page and/or the threat we seek is neutralized. Senor Abrams, we have a facility we will make available to you off-world. We are finishing preparations and should be cleared to go within a few day's time." Both of them still seemed a bit taken away by their surroundings. "Alright come on, you can see the mountains better from your rooms."

There is a dispute about the name of the Gaian Base in Tau-31. That is to say, there is a dispute among those who care about such things as the origins of a name. Some claim that the base is named after the outwash plains of glaciers. Indeed, sandur; a glacial plain, seems to capture the feeling one gets when traversing the expanse of Tau-31. The other, equally popular theory is that the base is named after a village that stood on a remote island in the northern ocean of ancient Earth. Likely a lonely place, close to the land it stood on and even closer to the ocean, Sandur; a desolate village, surely evokes the spirit of the Gaian outpost.

Those who named Sandur either do not care to explain the name or are gone for good. Thus, the argument goes on. But everyone agrees that the name is good and that it fits the outpost very well, for sometimes it appears that places have a name of their own choosing. Long ago it was written that naming some places is looking into darkness and letting the name rise out to find you. Sandur Base is such a place.

The bar is clean, well-lit and with no name. It is quiet and one does not feel the strange feeling of disconnection when looking through the glass into the vacuum. Here the room seems to continue out, through the windows, and you occasionally get the urge to open the door that is not there, to step out, to smell the snow covered juniper brush, the ice, the sharp cold air, and the bright yet frigid sunlight. Then something stirs inside you, you look out only to see the airlessness of space again.

At least the drink is still there.

Imperial Rheinland Berlin Forum - The Palace of Ascendant Stars (open to all)

Hope.

Rheinland was a burgeoning house. Fourteen billion lives, souls, careers, goals. On a clear, ice-fresh new berlin morning, the light of the distant, stark, white giant rose over the glistening frost that capped the stratoscrapers in the dense urban conurbations. Over the wind forges and manufacturies of rural Berlin, the first rugged animals had jolted fritteringly awake amongst the pines, scurrying and howling as the shadows that hid their burrows fell away from them.. There was hope on the wind. The old Bundestag, draped in new flags, had been abdicated in the throws of Federalist violence, and futile, self-effacing last stands that had burned the shadows of the innocent into the concrete. There was no hope to be found there - in the shadows of old, sordid crime.

On Hamburg, as on Berlin, there rose, from the mausoleum of history, the ossuary of the old empire. Vast, white spires and domes, designed to shrug aside the glacial cycles of their home-worlds, whilst matching seamlessly into the terrain. It was an architecture of a sensitivity the Republic had abandoned in the fires of greed. Rather than the bones of a dead creature, these structures - the Imperial courts of the Empire, rose from the planes and slopes and riverbeds that criss-crossed Rheinland's sister worlds. Damage from an aeon spent neglected, or adjustments made by corporate masters as the huge domes that had formed the Imperial Forums were put to idle storage, or re-branded as commercial districts, had been swept back. An unlimited glut of nano-manufacturing robots from Daumann and Kruger had restored the stonework to its monolithic glory, as the banners of the restored Empire drifted in the heady light.

On Berlin, the great quorum of the Königsturm was abuzz with ground traffic, drones, and airshuttles, ferrying people in and out from the great hall of power where the public met with Imperial dignitaries of all rank and station. By the 18th of April, 827, Drones had only finished replacing two of the great sheathes of Polyarylate-graphine canvasses that hid the transit hubs, and the industrial spokes of the structure's walls. There would still be more work to be done, but the spirit of the site was very much restored. The Empire would live and breathe upon its promises to the People of Rheinland, in transparency, in open action - where the Republic had stagnated and withered in in subterfuge, a new era would be drawn up in the brightness of the Berlin starlight.

The Airshuttles screamed in, on final approach, bringing in passengers direct from spaceports and private hangars around the planet. For local distances, the long gorges of the magnetic train lines brought passengers, genteel and otherwise, into the great dock of the People's Forum. The crown prince himself would have a residency here, once he had become King - should the king so choose to move beyond the security of the Emperor's Palace in upland Berlin. Nobles, business leaders, captains of industry, research magnates, members of the imperial party, the well-to-do, and even well-selected and heavily vetted Union representatives would mingle with the society of the Forum. A hyperbolic, if sensible wariness of Federal insurgency had bumped up the waiting times at entry security, and a number of clean-suited, black-and-gold jacketed guards would assist patrons in locking up any personal weaponry in stowage, before entry into the Forum's many floors. Heat pipes drove energy and fusion products from the industrial generators across town, keeping the Forum at a pleasant ambience that stayed comfortably familiar in day or night.

"Guten Morgen mein Herr, please place any weaponry or restricted items in the racks provided. All personal effects are registered to you by our responsibility system, and can be collected on departure from the Forum, or ordered to your local spaceport. Dankeschön, Dōmo arigatōgozaimashita, and Thank you for attending the Imperial Forum. Long live the Empire, and have a wonderful day." A green and gold clad officer addresses all new arrivals with a familiar warmth. Despite the obvious security, demarcated by the dress uniforms of the Imperial Police, the lines flow smoothly, the constant televator traffic conveying patrons by the hundreds into the depths of the people's forum.

Once inside, the Ambience is noticeably open, the industrial monolithic structure disapearing into a hive of commerce, as Rheinish corporations, from the big three of Imperial Shipping, Daumann Heavy Constructions and Kruger Minerals displayed prominently in advertisements and proprietary expos. Every Rheinland developed product available to the civilian market can be found here, beyond the limits of the reserve zone held for civilian traffic only. Proprietary hotels - subsidised by the state for those who cannot afford the overnight stays, yet who still want the opportunity to see their representatives, tower towards the sky. Yet the Forum is noticeably absent of offices, apart from the those dedicated to promotion or offering services to clients. Spas, bars, and nightclubs can be found here, but the signs of monolithic corporatocracy are gone. Over head, a holographic sign advertising the contact details of discounted Union representation for workers caught in industrial accidents, fills the negative space of the foyer. White marble water fountains and sculptures fill the throng of the concourse - yet no feature is internationalised - every element of the social contract has a distinctly Rheinlandic bent, down to the local outlet of the Colonial News Service that takes up two entire floors of the Forum. Displays providing directions, context, and guidance, in Rheinish, Kusarian, Bretonian and Gallic. Holographic tours offer factoids on the history of the Rheinland Empire, both in its first and present incarnations.

The structure had become more than an expo for the Imperial ideal. Traders intermingled with society figures around the vast statues and water features that gave the negative space an ethereal resonance, as if the patron was walking in a dream, and not a megastructure. Hothouse plants from the islands of Holstein, and wildlife saved from Nuremburg and Stuttgart in its years before Bioengineering, freshen the atmosphere of a million chattering conversations.

"The Next train will depart to... Hans Bockler memorial deck. Stopping at... Kaiserin Leicht Spaceport. Imperial Victory Memorial. Yanagi Remembrance Hall. Ringbuilders Prospect. Hans Bockler Memorial Deck. " soft-speaks the mass transit system, in a hum of magnetic coils and relativistic gravity projectors. "Achtung, bitte stehen Sie frei von den Türen. Unauthorised personnel may not depart at the royal residences."

To the surprise of some, almost as many foreigners as Rheinlanders could be found here. The Empire had done all it could to bring an attractive vision of imperial life to not only its own people, but to the wider cosmos. From Freelancers to foreign investors looking to secure statements from Imperial aids, personnel, nobles and retinues, politicians and patricians looking to change local law, as to where they should best place their security. The bright, compelling future that the Empire hoped to provide was substantiated here, icononised in interactive neural displays that indicated the wealth generated by Rheinland as a whole, compared to average domestic income under the old Republic. The Displays showed how much more wealthy the average citizen would be if the investments placed in Rheinland were taxed according to their means, and redistributed amongst the citizenry. Policy goals detailing the next steps the Kaiserliches Kabinett of the Imperial Parliament would make, and how the public could make their opinions known, were scrawled out in Neuralnet addresses and missives. Great glass screens covered the alcoves of meeting rooms between those picked through sortition for direct address with their senatorial representatives in the Reichstag and the Imperial Part, filled the inner perimeter, rising over the treeline, the stores, the bars, the spas, the saunas, the statues. One particular establishment, 'The Oak and the Gimeni' has become a particular favour with spacers, both from the Imperial Navy and elsewhere, to socialise in peace.

Another perimeter, secluded within side chambers and corridors, takes those who have the access deep into the bowels of the Imperial statehouses. The open-plan ambience moves into Contours of gold splendour, inspired by the twisting thule architecture of xenoarcheological ruins throughout Rheinland, towering into Romanesque spires. The bulk of the imperial library - carrying untold treasures from the times before, has a full copy here, in the storied inner chambers that form the oldest nucleus of the structure. It is here that key members of the Rheinlandic aristocracy meet to attend to matters of governance, responsibility, and power, surrounded by their obligations.

Only you know why you have come to the Berlin Forum. Perhaps you're seeking pleasure -or an audience with the Imperial state. Perhaps you're looking for a particular service, or a particular someone. All are welcome at the forum. All are cherished.
After the exodus from planet Quillian and Gallia in general, the Montluc Advanced Engineering moved her headquarters to planet Bordeaux in Aquitaine. However, to keep the "gray" status of the corporation and not to be tied to the Enclave in the eyes of the population of Sirius and Gallia, the Board of Directors decided to lease rooms at a neutral space station where the HR Division could keep recruiting new people and work with them before directing to other facilities of the corporation. The Zoner station at the crossroads of trade routes between Kusari, Bretonia and smaller players of the Tau arena was the best choice in opinion of the Board and so the complex of rooms has been leased to the MAE.

Just inside the entrance to the office is a foyer, including a reception desk. In the foyer, visitors can familiarize themselves with the MAE production through multiple informative audios and visual displays related to it.

The rest of the complex is comprised solely of offices and small working labs. These also include the main locations - Josephine Lessard's office, where new applicants receive job interviews and sign their contracts with the corporation. Except for the HR Manager's work she also serves as the supervisor of the Freeport's office and hence the head of corporate personnel at the station in general.
You enter Bristol's most visited bars, a place without a fancy title with history reaching back to 824 when it was a military bar for the Separatists. Now run by Bristol Constructions most of its history isn't visible anymore. It's fairly practical looking but busy and you can meet pretty much everyone here. A security patrol comes by frequently in this part of the station, making the place very safe.

Among the most frequent visitors are Bristol's own employees, Separatist logistics people, ALG representatives, Rheinlanders working for law enforcement and also the odd Hacker, Xeno or other parts of the underworld. They are all aware that this is a neutral place and any open hostilities would close Bristol's docking bays to them and stop any possible supply shipments.

Personnel Areas (Fort Ansel)
The place where Enclave staff and associates can meet and interact with each other.

Fort Ansel presides over the verge of the Mérignac mountain range, not far from the south coast of the Caudéran continent. It is at the north border of the Enclave's territory. Beyond it is the wild and untamed land. Attempts to expand farther north were met with bombings and ambushes, presumably by the Gaians.

The Fort is the seat of the Enclave Defense Authority on planet Bordeaux. It serves as a command center, emergency shelter, training ground, troops garrison, storage facility, and a small spaceport. Being at constant risk of a Gaian attack, the Fort is well-defended at all times.

All Enclave military personnel, EDA or otherwise, have clearance to approach and enter Fort Ansel. However, specific areas may be off limits for people without sufficient security clearance.

Mess Hall

The mess hall of Fort Ansel is one of the few recreational areas. Commoners and non-commissioned personnel visit it when off duty. Crowded and noisy at all times, as people from different shifts change each other, the mess hall is the place to go if you'd like to be "a people's officer".

The screens broadcast vetted Gallic media, interrupted by imporant announcements and Uxeau News. Cards, chess, and even occasional alcoholic beverages can be found here (if you don't have a shift ahead of you). Fort Ansel command usually turns a blind eye to that, knowing that the people are overworked as it is. However, any mess of the wrong kind is quickly handled by security.
This is the place where any dignitaries visiting the Fort would be spending their free time.
The lounge is calmer than the mess hall, and offers more privacy. It boasts a greater choice of entertainment options: holoscreens with Gallic and even some vetted Sirian media of your choice, tabletop games, holotainment bands and a better selection of food and drinks.

Every officer, noble, and dignitary visiting Fort Ansel gets an own room. Rooms are small, but each comes with a restroom and a shower cabin. There are slight differences depending on your rank, but the Fort is always considered a better place to be stationed at than any Enclave spaceship.

Bronze tier officers share one room, living in groups of four. Tier Argent live in groups of two, and the freed up space is used for their own private Neural Net terminals. A tier Or officer has a room entirely to himself or herself, and can occupy the free space with something else, depending on personal tastes: a bookshelf, a plant, or even an aquarium.

War Room

The War Room is the "brain" of Fort Ansel. Any data there is in the EDA's systems, it ends up here. It is a true nerve center of the Enclave. It is bustling with activity almost at all times: the noise of terminals is interrupted by the infrequent exchanges between the analysts, officers, and support staff.

Conference Room

When something needs to be discussed in private among the Enclave's leadership, the conference hall is the place to go. Just a corridor away from the noisy war room, the conference hall offers quietness, seclusion, and access to all the data from the Enclave's nerve center at a moment's notice.

Guards are stationed in the room at all times, regardless of whether there is a meeting, and who is meeting there. Enclave Defense Authority guarantees that the guards will not disclose the information discussed here to anyone.
